Fogged
A series where the leak is the subject, from almost-landscapes to pure color.
Prints from five rolls of 35mm shot around Phoenix on a camera that lets the light in.
Available now · set of 4
The same Phoenix palms on four different days. Daylight, a green storm cast, blue dusk and a violet night. Each color happened inside the camera. Nothing was added afterward.

Four matched prints on premium matte archival paper, in the 3:2 shape of the original film frame, so nothing is cropped. They come unframed and fit standard 8x12 or 12x18 frames.
Grain, dust and light leaks are part of the original negatives. They are not printing defects.

Palm trees under every kind of sky.

The ranges around the Valley, seen from the freeway and the roadside.

After the sun goes down: moons, city lights and neon.

The dog, the neighborhood and the sky over it.

These rolls were shot from car windows and backyards across the Valley: freeway mountains, palms, saguaro, block walls, and the dog. The camera let light in on every roll. Some came back green, some yellow and magenta, and one came back cyan from end to end.
The leaks stayed in. The best frames are the ones where the leak and the desert share the picture.
Three of the five rolls came back with a Fujifilm card titled “Light Fogged Film.” That fog is the look you see here.
More from the same five rolls.
